If you are offended, disgusted, annoyed, or otherwise disturbed by the content of this diary, it's not my fault, and this disclaimer will tell you why. If I know you personally and haven't invited you here -- well, there's a reason for that, so kindly go on back to whichever part of my life you belong in. Trust me, this is for your own good.

What's kind of been going on

Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, 1:10 p.m.

Since I was rudely interrupted by my life last night as I was attempting to write about it, I'll take this pre-nap opportunity to break it on down.

Husband and I have now been separated for almost an entire month, and I've been keeping myself fairly busy so as not to notice all the free time I have now that we're not spending every waking hour fighting and having sex and vice versa. Hence, the infrequent updates.

Now that I've been living in singledom for awhile, I've really gotten reaccustomed to the idea that I don't actually have to give a shit about where I go, what I do, who I hang out with, etc. Since my roommate isn't the obsessive type and Crazy-Ass Motherfucking Cat can really only hiss and do spastic backflips in protest whenever I leave the house, the freedom to waltz out the door on Friday night and stumble back in several hours or days later with no accompanying explanation has been mine, mine, mine.
Also, since I live about 40 miles closer to my workplace now, my weekly gas money is now budgeted around the thirty-dollar level -- down considerably from the Dear Mother Of GOD Why Do I Still Own A Car level I was previously dealing with.

I really wish I had my own computer (this one is my roommate's) so that I could write lengthy, detailed daily entries about the general good times that go along with being a part of a mechanized infantry division in the moldy armpit of the South, because just now, I'm tired and I want you all to read the words directly out of my mind so that I don't have to exert the energy required to type them.

I wish you could just psychic-ly know about my trip up north for my boarding school's first EVER alumni reunion (included Driving, Way Too Many Hours Of and Sleep, Bordering On None), my crazy new Boss Man (he has that kind of personality where you just want to taunt him until he cries real tears), my most recent car accident (actually not my fault this time! Yay!), my new favorite karaoke song ("If you like pina colaDAS! And getting caught in the RAIN! And the sound of my cracked VOICE! Because I'm been drinking for several consecutive HOURS!"), my birthday (one year away from my car insurance payments being lower, yaaaay), the current onslaught of bullshit field training tomfoolery that I'm in the middle of (Go Army! Go! Seriously, go AWAY), and my newfound love for destructive tools (Hacksaw + Pick-axe + Me = 4-EVA).

I will console myself by offering photos which semi-capture the fun.

Road block
Yesterday, I spent my entire day wandering around Fort Stewpid's training area, interviewing Aviation soldiers about how awesome they are at their jobs, and as I drove home, dirty, sweaty , hungry and tired -- always a pleasant combination -- I came upon this road block. I think I nearly took the gunner out via the Telepathic Hatred method.

Tactical operations
Have you ever tried to open a lock without a key or bolt-cutters or special powers? Apparently, that is what a hacksaw and pick-axe are for. My contribution to the task consisted of sitting off to the side and mocking his efforts.

My new best friend
You know what's fun? Hacking stuff up.

I have a bunch of other photos from the past few weeks up on my Flickr Album, so if you get bored of spending time with actual people this weekend, go ahead and check out my Gallery O' More People You Don't Know.

Other than that, the need to fall into an instant slumber is upon me. If you missed my entry last night, which included the answers to the "What's on my Mix CD?" game, just go back and check it out -- it's waiting for you. Naked.

More eventually, my ducklings!
