I have been awake since 8:30 a.m., and somehow I have managed to dedicate my entire morning to attempting to download every single song on the Gridlock'd soundtrack.

Shut up.

Honestly, even though I haven't seen the movie since I was 14 and snuck into the theater to see it (if I remember correctly, my mother thought my friend and I were going to see Beverly Hills Ninja), and even though I officially stopped listening to gangsta jamz in 1999 ... I mean, that was a really good movie! And the soundtrack kicks total ass!

Maybe I'm alone here. I don't care.

And YES, I absolutely ADORED 2Pac and Snoop in 1997. Haven't we had this discussion before?

For real, you can't beat lyrics like "All my homies tellin, me, ain't no love for a real G, You straight cowards all you playa haters kill me, Throw up your hands if you feel me." Not to mention, "lbc out the moon and the speakers go BOOM BOOM BOOM."

Between those two excerpts, I think they've used all the Hard-Ass Gangsta Phrases required for truly Hard-Ass Gangsta Songs:

"Homies" - check
"No love" - check
"Playa haters" - check
"Throw up your hands" - check
"BOOM BOOM BOOM" - check

Also included in the list are "bitches," "hos," "gangstaz," "straight up," "uuuunnnhhhh" and any variation of "yeah yeah yeah yeah."

Husband and I went to see X-Men: The Last Stand yesterday, because it had just been way too long since we saw mutants blow shit up.

I won't give anything away, but let me just say this: Hugh Jackman is hot. Especially at matinee prices.

Okay, speaking of stuff I did ... I finally finished making the Magical Mystery Mix Chain CDs, so if I owe you one and I don't have your mailing address (either because I never had it, or because I did have at one time but lost it of course), drop me a line right quick so I can send it to you.
