Sleeeep ... or not

Hi! Let's get a few things out of the way right quick:

- I am still alive.
- I was not in the hospital or jail or a cult or anything like that.
- Life has been kicking my ass.
- It's a long story.
- I'm not going to go into it, because I am trying to go as long as possible without having to go to the doctor and get Happy Pills.

That being said ... how have you been?

It's about one a.m. on Easter Sunday, and I'm wide awake, after having had two cups of coffee at 11 p.m. Not a good idea, really, because I have to wake up ass-early to do some stuff for work, but then I'm known for my good ideas like Michael Jackson is known for being not a pedophile.

So I'm all hopped up on the caffeine, since these days I drink coffee about once every few nevers, and I have about eight kafrillion thoughts racing through my brain, and I can't focus on a SINGLE ONE of them.

This is my brain right now:

Man, I should really be sleeping. Oooh, I'm getting my new car on Monday! I wonder if it has a working radio in it. God forbid I don't have a working radio to warble along to like a chipmunk on crack while I drive. The only songs I can sing without sounding like a tone-deaf stuttering otter are Dylan songs, though. Only because he can't sing, either. How in the shit does the third verse of "To Ramona" start out? Bob's voice sure has gotten raspy. Probably because of the chain-smoking. I really want a cigarette right now. That would require getting ashes on the keyboard, though. This keyboard is fucking LOUD, dude! Not as loud as the damn ringing in my ears, I guess. Fucking caffeine. I am such a dumbass. I should totally be asleep. Sleeeeeeep. Yo, that would be awesome if I could do the Dark City "Sleeeep" hand-wave-y thing. Those aliens are the SHIT. I wonder if aliens exist. I bet if they did, they'd be smart enough to NOT DRINK COFFEE AT 11 FUCKING P.M. Holy LORD, I wish I could go to frigging sleep.

So, I'm going to climb into bed now and see if I can maybe have some crazy caffeine-induced dreams.
