A brief recap Monday, Mar. 27, 2006, 2:50 p.m.
As I sat here downloading Willie Nelson's masterpiece "Cowboys Are Secretly, Frequently (Fond of Each Other)" this morning, I realized that I haven't updated in a while. To rephrase: I realized that I haven't updated in a while and decided to finally go ahead and do it. You see, over the past several weeks, I have been dealing with what some might call "Drama," and what others might call "A Whole Lot Of Crazy Fucking Shit." As I said in my last entry (when did I write that one? Infinity days ago? Okay, just checking), I don't really want to delve in the full Crazy Fucking Shit-ness of the Crazy Fucking Shit, because as much as I [heart] the entire internet, I've decided that not everyone using it needs to be all up in my biz-nass. Word. However, I do not mind letting you in on my past couple weekends of revelry, drunken or otherwise. Which brings me to ... My Week-Late St. Patrick's Day Weekend Revelry ChecklistItems Acquired - Strands of multi-colored beads (semi-fairly earned), 1837328374 - Gallons of liquor (promptly consumed), Several hundred - Photos of complete strangers (often partially-nude, none remembered), 18 or so Items Broken (Or Sprained, As The Case May Be) - Left Ankle (mine), 1 - Right Ankle (Husband's), 1 - Lovely fingernails (mine), 3 - Skin on knee (Husband's), Enough to be considered GROSS Items Lost - Pretty ring (mine), 1 - Contact lens (mine), 1 - Over-priced-yet-necessary (shut up) lip gloss (mine), 1 - Two-week-old cell phone (Husband's), 1 - Budweiser ballcap (Husband's), 1 - iPod earbuds (Husband's), 2 - Truck (eventually found) (thanks to a homeless man with nothing better to do than lead two drunken fools back to the street they parked on), 1 - Dignity (ours), Every shred of Evidence Of The Likelihood That The Above Checklist Was NOT Made Up
Captain Morgan HIMSELF! How could I not?
Trust me -- Husband would not be singing karaoke if he hadn't imbibed copious quantities of tasty whiskey. He dedicated his song ("Queen of My Double-wide Trailer") to me. I was touched.
Who are they? We don't know! But they play bagpipes! And they roam the streets!
In this town, even hundred-year-old men get into the St. Patrick's Day spirit -- his shirt says "THIS IS MY LUCKY SHIRT," and yes, he is wearing beads.
As is this bum. Because, why not?
Whoever this guy is, he looks like he's no stranger to stuffing his face with giant logs of meat.
"Goodbye, pretty Shamrock-Assed Horse, I have to go and get drunk now."
I honestly have no idea where I got those sunglasses, but I didn't have them when I went out that evening, and I didn't have them when I returned. Hmmm.
I don't remember this girl's name, but apparently she really liked me. I think I was actually trying to take a picture of the freaks in the background.
Husband's moment of glory. I don't know who the girl on the right is, but I probably tried to kick her ass after she jumped into our photo.
"Got a little Cap'n in ya?" "YEAH we do! A LOT of Cap'n, in fact! Wheee!"
Okay, so now I've taken up so much time posting pictures that I have to wait till next time to tell you all about everything else (which, honestly, isn't much; it just seems like a lot) that has been taking up so much of my time lately. Oh, and to update -- my Blue Mini is on its way. Woo hoo! More pictures and random words coming (relatively) soon. I hope. Peace outside!
