Today was Newspaper Delivery Day, which means that tomorrow morning, I get to rediscover all the muscles in my arms and back which have not been strained in a while. It's always a good time.

The newspapers we deliver (to the various dining facilities and gyms and what have you around our camp) and mail out (to all the different camps and forward operating bases) are the product of my previous week's dedicated layout-and-design efforts.

In other words, when we set the papers out on a table in the DFAC, I get to see firsthand just how quickly people walk by the fruit of my labor without a second glance.

Well, okay, sometimes they give it a second glance. In fact, every now and then they go so far as to pick one up, stare blankly at it, and then put it back down. My heart goes pitter-patter in those instances.

Anyway, while I'm out and about, I get to see all kinds of new and exciting things. Some of these things are SO new and exciting that I actually have to stop, walk back to them, and appreciate them a little more ...

This is how we know that our Military Police are a force to be reckoned with (or should I say, "recon'd" with).

Hey, Mom! Your whiny, homesick, little soldier boy couldn't think of anything more badass to graffiti on the wall than this. Aren't you so proud?
